About Me
After 14 years, I’m back in school 🤓 studying functional, holistic nutrition, and learning how to heal the body with nutrient dense food, lifestyle choices, stress management, and more. Beginning in May of 2025, I’ll be working 1:1 with clients to address the root cause of symptoms with a bio-individual approach (AKA fulfilling my dreams!). In the meantime, I’ll be sharing everything I’m learning with you.
I’m a married mom of three with a billion blessings and pretty normal life - full of the pressures of motherhood, constraints on my time, and so many excuses as to why choosing health can feel HARD.
But, I would ask you (and myself) - what’s harder? Choosing my health daily (meaning making choices that aren’t as fun), or suffering from chronic low energy, crummy sleep, a short fuse, and a general feeling of blah?
Blah perfectly describes where I was about three years ago, when I had just made an inter-state move (stresss) and my meals looked like whatever could be prepped and eaten in under 8 minutes. I was doing “all the things” but not showing up in the way I wanted to for my family. My kids felt it, my husband felt it, and on my son’s second birthday I decided I had to figure something out.
It has been a slow and steady learning curve since then, as I unlearned and learned a lot. Protein? Fiber? Strength training? Books, not Netflix? These were all foreign concepts. But little by little, I watched myself change.
Some days still look like a protein bar for lunch; some weeks my tennis shoes are used solely for killing bugs in the mudroom; some nights my fuse is real short - but those instances are rare. Most of the time, I’m choosing my health daily with whole food nutrition, hydration, movement and strength training, stress management, and sleep-precious-sleep.
I believe deeply that optimal health is available to all of us. We just need information, tools, and consistency. There are so many smart and informed voices in this industry, and I am far from perfect. My goal here is to share information that I think could be useful, from my point of view, in the hopes that it gives you a little inspiration to choose your health.
